History of Oil Town Jiujitsu
2012
“Oil town Jiujitsu” was born in October 2012 from the desire to introduce BJJ to the Belait district. Our first home was at Pusat Insani, Seria, where BJJ classes were run only 2 nights a week.
2016
In August 2016, the opportunity arose for us to move to Project Mayhem Fight Club in order to offer a grappling program in their already established Muay Thai school. BJJ classes then increased to 3 nights a week.
2018
With the aim to expand jiujitsu to the broader community, a huge step was taken to open a full-time academy. In March 2018 this dream was realised and The Refinery Oil town Jiujitsu was established.
